Date Spot of the Week: Dublin Chinese New Year Festival

“Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty and the pig likes it.”

– George Bernard Shaw

It’s the year of the pig and Dublin’s Chinese New Year Festival is under way. The festival will continue until the 17th February. There is a vast amount of tours, tastings, workshops and other activities. If you’re still strapped for cash after Christmas, don’t worry, a lot of the events are reasonably priced or free. Including the Spring Festival Fair which takes place in the CHQ building this Saturday and Sunday.

Most of the events are quite casual, so there’s no need for either of you to dust of the tux and ball gown. Although you can never be too overdressed. I’d highly recommend this to any couple who are looking to try something new or learn more about Chinese culture. For more info and a full list of the events, click here and keep an eye on our events page to for more upcoming ‘date idea’ events.
