8 Lockdown Date Ideas

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”
— George Bernard Shaw

ROMANTIC DINNER AT HOME

The only way to keep it romantic at home is to create an ambience and scenario. Tell your loved one that you’re going to cook them a lovely romantic dinner. Set a time to meet at your place, tell them to dress to impress, as sexy as they like. Cook up a storm, dim the lights, light a few candles, pair a bottle of wine to your meal, stick on some smooth sexy jazz playlist and give them flowers on arrival.

MOVIE MARATHON

Switch off the phones and throw on the comfy jammies. Make sure you’re stocked up on popcorn and snacks for the day. Take turns deciding on movies for the day, without killing each other over your partners poxy taste in movies.

GAME NIGHT

Rummage around the press for the old board games. Dust them off and get competitive over a game of monopoly or scrabble.

TAKEAWAY COFFEE & DOG WALK

Stick on your slickest attire for a day out with the dog and your other half. Grab yourselves a cheeky coffee in your local instagrammable, independent, vegan, save the planet coffee-shop , served by your locally grown hipsters which will cost the same as a round of pints. Then pop into the park for a stroll.

DRINKING GAMES

Pick your poison, stock up on red cups and google the best drinking games that’ll suit the two of you. Best off avoiding the drinking games that will lead to arguments or any mentions of ex’s.

BONFIRE IN THE GARDEN

CAREFULLY make a little fire in the garden. Roast some marshmallows, crack a few bottles, and get a smooth little playlist going for an evening out by the fire.

OUTDOOR CINEMA IN THE GARDEN

Weather permitting! Bring out some furniture, blankets, cushions, twinkly lights, and candles to set the mood. Throw up a plain white bed sheet on the washing line, get the projector going with a movie. Whack on the popcorn in the microwave and have the minstrels ready to mix in. Perfect evening !

VIDEOCALL DATE

If you’re one of the unlucky couples that is stuck apart because of lockdown there’s a few videocall date ideas you could do; have dinner together, go for a walk together, start the same movie at the same time, or have a ‘sexy conversation’ with your headphones on.. if you know what I mean..
